Greenwood Charter Academy Welcomes Families to 2025-2026 Orientation Drop-In

GREENWOOD, SC – Mark your calendars, Patriots! Greenwood Charter Academy (GCA) is excited to welcome new and returning students and their families to the 2025-2026 Orientation drop-in on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. This informal event is the perfect opportunity to prepare for the upcoming school year in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

The drop-in event will provide students and families the chance to get a head start on the school year. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet their teachers for the upcoming year, drop off school supplies, and visit with the school nurse to discuss any medical needs.

A special welcome will be extended by School Director, Mr. Teague, who will be on hand to greet families and share his excitement for the new academic year.

"We are thrilled to welcome our GCA families back to campus," said Mr. Teague. "This orientation is a fantastic way for our students to feel comfortable and prepared for their first day. It's also a great opportunity for us to connect with our wonderful community."

The orientation will also feature several informational stations and sign-up opportunities. Representatives from the YMCA after-school program, as well as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts, will be present to provide information and answer questions.

Middle school students will have the chance to sign up for the band and strings programs, fostering their musical talents.

A highlight of this year's orientation will be the unveiling of the new middle school sports program. With the addition of the 8th grade for the 2025-2026 academic year, GCA is expanding its extracurricular offerings to include a variety of athletic activities.
